Congratulations to David Hawkinson, who recently submitted a dissertation titled “Martin Buber’s I and Thou, Pastoral Counseling and Reading Text: A Proposal for an Integrated Approach” at Luther Seminary in Saint Paul for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy! The dissertation was approved with distinction on April 19. Hawkinson, a founding editor of Pietisten, has been a long time contributor as author of the column “The Making of a Reader.”

Pietisten received greetings from the snow covered churchyard of Lidingö, Sweden, where Lindsey Small and her father Steve Armfield recently paid their respects at Waldenström’s grave (pictured).
