They Were Married in July

by Elder M. Lindahl

Anne Lindahl and Jed Bassett, both North Parkers, were married on Sunday, July 9, 2006, in Libertyville Covenant Church in Libertyville, Illinois. Pastor Peter Hawkinson of Winnetka Covenant Church officiated; Pastor Dwight Nelson of Libertyville Covenant Church, and uncle of Karl Nelson, webmaster of www.pietisten.org, led the service. Youth Pastor Chris Gredenius assisted. Anne and Jed’s beautiful, classic wedding brought many North Park University students and alumni together.

The Bride is the daughter of Deb and Wes Lindahl of Libertyville, Illinois. The Groom is the son of Dave and Diane Bassett of Arvada, Colorado.

Anne was attended by bridesmaids Cherith Anderson, Denee Anderson, Dana Jackson, Lisa Lindberg, Agnes Lo, and Alli Tierney. Samantha Catrambone, Morgan Credenius, and Grace Lindahl were flower girls. Jed was attended by groomsmen Chad Bassett, Pete Jackson, Anders Johnson, Ben Johnson, Cam Johnson, Ben Larson, John Lindahl, and Peter Morris. Andrew Daigle, Bjorn Erickson, Erik Robinson, and Mark Swanson were ushers.

Following the ceremony, there was an evening reception at Opal Estiatorio’s in Vernon Hills. Anne’s radiant smile set the tone for a joyous time of celebration. Delightful toasts and a prayer by Grandpa Lindahl preceded a dinner of delicious Greek foods served in family style. Conviviality ruled as the wedding party, relatives and friends took over the entire lakeside restaurant. Great music, good conversation, and dancing rocked. Anne and Jed filled the place with romantic wonder! Were we younger, we could have danced all night!

Anne, an occasional Pietisten author, teaches at St. Phillips in Chicago. Jed is also a teacher. After their honeymoon in Nantucket, they will live in Lincoln Square in Chicago.
